Diapers, baby stuff and more!

I got my first order of cloth diapers in today!!! It is all starting to feel oh so real,
the baby is going to be here in 7 short weeks!!! That is crazy! I can't wait to get
the diapers all washed up and ready to go into the hospital bag. I need to pack that bag soon, but I also need to get a ton of cloths washed. I keep thinking that I will wait until after the shower, on June 19th, before I do a bunch of laundry! I need to sterilize the washer and make sure that there aren't anymore traces of animal hair, my cats fur is so tricky to keep out of the washer.

The other day while out with Jessie, we found a great going home outfit for Kadence. Don't know
if I already blogged about it or not, but here is a picture!

Cute Right??!!!

On another happy note, the package my Mom sent us got here. She sent us some wonderful items for the baby and for our Anniversary. Fred and I shared our second year anniversary last Monday. She also sent me a wonderful
saying inside the most beautiful baby frame. Everything about babies is so sweet and happy! I love it! See picture below filled with everything from the crib sheet to onizes!

Another great note to touch on, today marks my 33rd week of pregnancy! The baby will be here ins 7 short weeks! I can't believe how much we still have left to accomplish around the house and
not to mention mentally! Here is a picture of my ever increasing baby bump! LOL. I love the tie dye outfit my sister and I made together just last year!

I also wanted to leave you with one other side note. There is a great deal going on at SmartiPants' Website. There three pack diapers are only 36.95, it is their special Daddy's Day Special! Thanks Jessie for letting me know about it!

Hope you enjoyed this blog and I look forward to your comments. Take care!

Morning Office Visit

Today was yet another doctor's visit. It went fine, except for the fact that I have gained six pounds since the last weigh in just two weeks ago!!! Although Fred and I don't see where the six pounds was gained, we have decided that we will have to start walking more, eating more salads and not so much Broaster chicken and ice cream! It kind of depresses me to know that I have gained that much! Overall that means that I have gained 26 pounds...and I still have 7 weeks to go! Well I know that if we just start eating sensibly and start walking or exercising more, then it will help cut down the drastic gains. In spite of my drastic weight gain, the doctor didn't mention it at all to me. I am so fearful that one day he is going to look down at my chart and tell me that I have gained too much and need to stop eating! LOL...I know that this will never happen, but I fear it for some reason!

On the bright side, the baby is moving more than ever. Just now she was twisting and moving around like a little spider monkey! I think it is so cool to watch my stomach move around in waves. I took a video of my belly moving just Saturday. She was so active and I couldn't believe that I was able to capture it on film.

Not a whole lot is going on in our world. The basement is still being worked on. Fred and his dad got the big egress window installed yesterday. They haven't completed the installation because they still have the form for the well to build yet and it would be easier to build with the window
out of the frame. It is coming together quite nicely though. Once the form, cement and rock has been laid, the window can be fully installed and then it will be on to the vent work for the air conditioning ducts for the basement. After that I think Pa was going to be working on the lighting for the stairway so that it is even and recessed. Then the tub will be going in so the plumbing can be finished in the bathroom and the old plumbing can be ripped out of the old bathroom. After that, the framing will be finished in the bedroom and then it will be time for drywall! We are having some extra help to do the drywall, they are professionals but friends of the family so they should do a reasonably good job at a great price! I can't wait until that step, after that there will be painting and carpeting, and we can finally move the upstairs office downstairs and start working the nursery.

Is it just me or does that seem like an awful lot to accomplish by the end of June? It might be a lot, but it will be worth ever minute and every cent. I look forward to my mom and step dad, coming to visit. They will help with whatever they can to help get the nursery ready.

Yesterday, I went shopping with my friend Jessie, and we ended up getting more baby outfits. But I think I finally found the going home outfit I want to bring baby Kadence home in!!! It is so cute!

Last week I went on to Baby Half Off, a great place to find baby products at ridiculousness low prices. Their special of the day was Dream Eze cloth diapers at 10.50 each! I purchased 8 diapers and I can't wait until they get here. I so badly want to start getting ready for the baby to be here by having diapers and clothes all cleaned for her. I want to get my hospital bag ready. I started a baby blanket on Saturday, after searching for a pattern I loved and finally found! I am almost halfway through the blanket, however it is a round blanket and it tends to go fast at the beginning, so hopefully I keep up the momentum and have it finished by the end of the month, so it can be ready for Kadence's arrival. I want to make her a little hat to match too! This girl is going to be decked out in purple!!

Well that's all I have for now. I look forward to your comments! Have a great day!

The First of Many

I want to start this blog off with a quick history of what influenced my decision to start a blog. First, I had a friend that has a blog and I often read what is going on and I see how much fun she has with it. Since she is a stay at home mom, I just figured she had a ton of extra time on her hands, but then I realized that it is such a great way to reach out to the community and get involved with some pretty wonderful things.

I am going to be a mom soon. My husband and I started trying after being married about six months, when we couldn't get pregnant a year later we gave up and decided that it just wasn't meant to be and that we could make an appointment with my OB to see about some kind of treatments or testing to help figure the root cause, but if we couldn't have children then we were fine with spoiling our friends and siblings kids.
Well just about a few weeks after having this little heart to heart, we found out that we were expecting! We are due at the end of July. We have been two by two ultrasounds that it is a girl, we just pray that it she is because everything has been geared towards a little girl. I love the color purple, so everything so far has been purplized!

As for our current position, we purchased a house last June, a two bedroom brick rancher in Cumberland Maryland. We are super close to our workplaces, which makes it nice to come home on our lunch breaks and visit with each other over a nice sit down lunch. It will be nice for the future as I will most likely staying home with the baby. Since we moved into such a small place, we had to start finishing our basement, which has now been under construction for the la
st two months. We are adding a family room, two bedrooms and a bath downstairs. That is where we will move the office and have a guest room for visiting family and friends. I just hope that we can get everything accomplished by the end of June so we can get the office fully moved downstairs, which will allow us to start working on the nursery.

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and enjoying every minute. I have felt wonderful throughout the entire pregnancy. The only thing that has had me down and out at times is the need for more sleep. I felt wonderful throughout my second trimester, but as soon as the third one hit, I hit the bed harder and longer every night. I look forward to seeing our little girl, however I know that we will be faced with many sleepless nights.

My friend Jessie, has been a huge help in getting me prepared for motherhood. She has a daughter that is almost 18 months now, and she proudly cloth diapers, breast-feeds and baby-wears. I would like thank her for influencing me to be the same way. I would love it if I could do all that she does. I love the advise I have been getting from her as well as other new mom's and I look forward to learning so much more.

So I hope you will follow my blog and I hope to update it on a weekly basis. I look forward to your comments. Thanks for reading!
